Georgia Weather Forecast: Rain, Rain Here To Stay?

ATLANTA, GA — After what was a soggy Monday morning commute for many, metro Atlanta is in for another rainy work week, with a chance that we’ll see some thunderstorms a couple of times before it’s all over.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, warning of what it calls a slight chance of thunderstorms late Monday morning. That will mostly be in the eastern and central parts of Georgia, though, with the main hazards being gusty winds and lightning.

And there will be another chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night and during the day on Thursday, with the potential for heavy rainfall across much of north Georgia. Otherwise, every day this week will bring a chance of some showers, at least.

Tuesday is expected to be sunny until late night, when the chance of rain jumps all the way up to 90 percent. After that, it will be raining on and off all the way through the weekend, the weather service says.

Temperatures will stay mild, at least, with highs from the low to upper-60s and lows in the 40s and 50s.
